Seedance 2.0: the one you experiment with.

Ten or fifteen seconds, from $0.11 a clip. It is the cheapest way to find out whether an idea survives contact with a video model - and at this price you can afford to be wrong four times before you are right.

Why the cheap one

Four tries beat one good guess.

Almost nobody writes the right prompt first. You ask for a thing, you get something adjacent to it, and the useful information is in the gap. That loop is where the work actually happens, and its cost is the price of one clip multiplied by how many times you are willing to go round.

At $0.11 you can go round four times for less than half a dollar. On a model priced four times higher, most people stop after the second attempt and settle - which is how you end up with footage that is fine rather than right.

So the argument for 2.0 is not that it matches 2.5. It is that the prompt you arrive at after five cheap attempts is usually better than the one you would have settled for after two expensive ones. Find the shot here, then decide whether it is worth re-rendering on 2.5.

The two lengths

Ten seconds, or fifteen.

Seedance 2.0

$0.11

10 seconds · 9:16, 16:9, 1:1, 4:3

Long enough to read as a shot, short enough that a failed idea costs almost nothing. This is the one to loop on while you are still writing.

Seedance 2.0 · 15s

$0.17

15 seconds · 9:16, 16:9, 1:1, 4:3

The extra five seconds is what lets a move finish - a push that arrives somewhere, a turn that completes. Worth it once the prompt is settled.

Length is fixed per model rather than something you drag, which is why the price is known before you commit and is frozen onto that video afterwards. Changing prices later never changes what you were charged.

Worth trying

Prompts that suit a short take.

Ten seconds rewards one clear idea. These are shaped for that: a single move, a single subject, nothing that needs a second act.

Slow overhead push across a breakfast table in hard morning light, steam rising from one cup, crisp

Static wide of a lone figure walking into sea fog at dawn, muted and grainy

Handheld follow behind a cyclist through a neon alley after rain, reflections on wet tarmac

Macro tilt across vinyl grooves under a warm lamp, dust in the air, shallow focus

Questions

About Seedance 2.0.

Is Seedance 2.0 worse than 2.5?

Cheaper and faster, not worse at everything. On a shot with simple motion - a slow push, a static frame with something moving inside it - the difference is often invisible. It shows up when the camera and the subject are both doing something complicated at once.

How long are Seedance 2.0 clips?

10 or 15 seconds. Those are two separate models here with separate prices, so you choose the length before you commit and the price is on the button.

How much does Seedance 2.0 cost?

$0.11 for 10 seconds and $0.17 for 15 seconds, per finished video. There is no subscription and no minimum. If the engine rejects a render you are refunded in full, automatically.

Can I use Seedance 2.0 clips commercially?

The video is yours. Check the current terms of the underlying model for your own use case, the same as you would with any generated asset - we hand you the file, we do not claim it.
